yes, that sounds like a dumb question, in light of arithmetic, like
making electricity with rainwater that falls from the roof (you might
average 1 watt in a rainy climate.)
how many kwh per day can you make if you run 1,000 gallons per day of
60 psi city water through a 100% efficient generator that reduces the
pressure to 40 psi? i'll send a shiny new $1 bill to the first reader
with the right answer.
toilet tank tops with basins that run the incoming fresh water through
a spigot for handwashing make more sense, as does using the city water
supply for a bidirectional water source heat pump, if that were legal.
