well, rich komp (sunwatt@juno.com, phd, and the president of the maine
solar energy association) travels a lot (london, south africa, france,
nicaragua, wisconsin), so it isn't surprising that you have not received
an immediate answer, or even a very timely answer, in the sense of the
modern western world, but it's my understanding that he and grupo fenix
(skinne@unicom.uni.edu.ni) and maybe his penobscot indian friends really
are making and selling or will soon be making and selling hybrid panels
that make about 150 watts of electricity and 1600 watts of water heating
simultaneously.

rich seems to believe in the better-mousetrap theory of marketing.
being a salescreature, perhaps you could help him in this regard.
he sometimes visits his home in maine and listens to messages on his
pv-powered answering machine at (207) 497-2204. if he hears your
urgent plea to buy some hybrid modules, he may pause for a moment,
look off into space, and think about enthalpy.

i believe he's recently installed a few prototypes(?) in workshops
around the world. i believe the aluminum extrusions for this version
are now being made (or will soon be made?) in nicaragua.

meanwhilst, if you get impatient, his book practical photovoltaics has
complete directions for building one. rich has also offered to supply
silicone-encapsulated panels suitable for concentration, assembled by
landmine victims in nicaragua. or you might lay 6 photowatt 75 watt
panels ($390 each, 50.7"x21.88", #pv6010, from www.jademountain.com)
in a water trough under a 16'x16'x16' tall linear parabolic reflector
to make about 1500 watts of peak electrical power in december.
