silica aerogel in a vacuum between two al foils. nanogel(?) in albuquerque
can make boards up to about 30"x50", limited by yield and pinholes, as in
ics. they become about r4 per inch if they lose their vacuum.

or refrigerators or mobile homes. thin walls help small objects more
than large ones. we might tuck pvc 8" water-filled natural cooling pipes
between roof trusses and use this stuff to insulate above them.
