have you priced ss? seems to me that mylar would last at least 5 years
if the metallic layer is greased to some poly film, and it reflects
downwards, which also facilitates cooling the cells in a water bath.

i'm pretty sure the thermal conductance from back to front is sufficiently
large that cooling the front will work fine for a few suns.
