agreed. our new lowes has a lot more stuff on the shelves than hd, but
not enough skylights...

direct sun might be 8k footcandles, and a lumen is 1 fc/ft^2, so we might
have 7.2k lumens passing through a square foot of glazing with 90% solar
transmission, vs 750 lumens for the 13 w cf in my hand. looks like a sola
tube attenuates sun by 10x...
