people seem to worry more about houses overturning than lifting or sliding, ie
resisting a moment vs a force. the moment might be the wind force on the
largest wall/roof of the house, times half the height, eg 9200lbx8'= 74k lb.
the resisting moment might be the downward pull of the foundation (the weight
of the concrete + soil above it, screw anchors, water containers over deadmen,
etc.) times the width of the house, eg 2400lbx32', ie 2400lb/64'= 36 pounds
per linear foot along the 64' side of a 32x64' massless house.
