the first might use about 6.5ax120vx24hx0.8pf = 15 kwh/day to condense
25 pints of water, ie 599 wh/pint, ie about 6 cents/pint at 10 cents/kwh.
(this makes it a heat pump with a cop of (599+1000/3.413)/599 = 1.49 in
wintertime :-) the second seems more efficient, at 7.5x120x24x0.8/40
= 432 wh/pint.
you might use the dehumidifier to heat a cold water tempering tank (eg
a 20'x4" pvc pipe tucked up under the basement rafters with bulkhead
connectors and garden hose adapters, in series between a washtub tap
and the water heater drain fitting) for summer energy savings.
with some luck, the tempering tank would sweat without the dehumidifier,
cooling the basement air (which could then be moved upstairs) and also
saving water heating energy.
