yup. 50m x 25mm = 1.25 m^2. i missed the start of this portugish
(engugese?) thread, but it still seems to me that a good insulating
cover (us r20 or metric r4) is the key to swimming pool heating.
without that, heating a pool is like bailing a bottomless boat.

would you have any tiny bias in that direction? :-)

how about flooding a dark colored concrete pool coping
from a perimeter pipe with some holes in it?

hmmm, $7.40 per square foot plus shipping from say, sao paolo,
versus $0.14 per square foot for a solar cover with a 5 year
guarantee--53 times cheaper.

can't those good german engineers come up with a metric r2 solar cover
that's easy to slide off the pool? something like a large plastic film
jellyfish, a flat translucent titanic, or a collection of intelligent
"coverites" (us patent no. 4,467,786, issued 8/28/84), plastic baggies
filled with soap bubble foam at night and air during the day that sink
to the bottom for swimming.
