re: lawn mowing business: how to start? 25 may 2000 >...i am thinking of starting a lawn mowing business... goats. >how do i scientifically figure out what to charge for a lawn?? buy 'em for s$ in spring, sell 'em for f$ in fall. meanwhilst, stake 'em out on customers' lawns, about 20 per acre in overlapping hexagonal tiling patterns (avoiding the shrubs) with a portable nesting lean-to shed and water where each group of 3 circles touch. each lawn needs resident goats about 50% of the time. charge according to what the traffic will bear, spring and fall goat prices, equipment costs, vet bills or losses, insurance, and goat care and transportation costs. nick |
