seems to me that won't help a lot, unless the owners toss in lots of
sawdust, grass clippings, ag waste, etc. the humanure handbook says a
typical human produces 0.5 pounds per day with about 75% moisture by
weight. dry compost has about the same heating value as wood, before
composting, ie about 12k btu/lb (7.7 kwh/kg.) the main heat output is
warm moist air. a large window air conditioner might be a good way
to heat a house with a composter.
