is it too much to ask that george keep concepts like power and energy
straight? how much thermodynamics need an auto mechanic understand?
perhaps he's a solar power idiot savant, able to make systems work but
unwilling to talk the language, like a crazed master auto mechanic who
can fix any engine, but prefers to avoid rising to the level of his
incompetence by perversely referring to car parts by unusual names,
calling spark plugs pistons, steering wheels tires, tie rods radiators,
turn signals heaters and brake lights bumpers. ("your carburetor was
out of round, which caused vibrations above 3000 miles per hour, so i
ground the shocks and polished the antifreeze until the hood ornament
stopped protruding into the dark side differential.")
when george says that warmer batteries last longer or talks about
160 amp field rheostats, he may well mean that motorized two-axis
trackers work better than passive trackers in strong winds :-)
